Christmas Christmas Cards

Christmas Help

Make a difference this Christmas

There are many ways you can help the homeless this Christmas, here are a few:

Webmasters - Create a page on your site about Christmas Cards and direct links from the page with the following anchor text: 'Christmas' - http://christmas.homeless.org.au 'Christmas Cards' - http://christmas.homeless.org.au/christmas-cards.htm

Donate Locally - If you can spare $20 or any amount during this time, make a donation today to a local organisation helping the homeless. Don't give to the big ones you see on TV - find a small but effective group that will use your donation wisely.

Donate Online - All money donated via this site is directed to non-profit organisations working with homeless people on Christmas Day. List your location in the comments section and we will make a contribution in your country or state.

Sock Drive - Start a sock drive at your school, church and or workplace. New cotton socks are a perfect gift for a homeless person and charities often can't afford such a gift or are aware how useful a gift it is to homeless people (at any time of the year).

Personal Contact - Homeless people crave contact with people who won't treat them like a charity case but will just stop and say hi in the street. Next time you see a homeless person, just go and say hello and strike up a conversation.

Schools - Hold a writing competition at school to raise awareness of homelessness. We will publish any work submitted to this site by school students on homelessness... essays, poems and short stories can be emailed to: dominic dot mapstone at gmail dot com
